The Holidays and My Recommendation for the Blues...
So, the writing, again, didn’t happen. Instead, I spoke to a very good friend of mine. We spoke for a long time, but not about anything really important. Scratch that, we talked about things that were very important, but they didn’t seem to actually go anywhere. I still enjoyed talking to her though. It calmed my brain moving as fast as it was (too fast). It also made me feel better...

Books, Raisin Bran, and 'It', aka It's Time to Get...
I bought four books today while I’m in the midst of a fifth one. The first two I found were ones that I didn’t know anything about in a Goodwill in my hometown. One is called The Story of Edgar Sawtelle, apparently a pretty well-known book from 2008 that I remember seeing around on bookshelves in bookstores for quite a while. I just found out it’s a modern rethinking of Hamlet...

Michigan
Tomorrow I’m headedĀ to MichiganĀ for the holidays. No matter how much I don’t feel at home sometimes once I finally get back, I always feel good about knowing I’m headed back to the state of Michigan. Something about it is still warm to me, and I like that that’s the way it is. I like smiling to myself when I see those ridiculous welcome signs and cross the border....
